are removed. Long, unique legacy descriptions otherwise bypass
shouldBackfillDescription, leaving a persisted mid-word cut
(e.g. zh โฆๆฟ็ญๅๆ็่ฏป, ja โฆ่ฟฝ่ทกใใ่ชญ, ko โฆ์ถ์ ํ๋.) in place.
